Keeping Our Families Safe
ISSUE 25 - A POLICE PROTECTION LEVY FOR JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP
Vote YES on Tuesday, May 5 to Strengthen Community Safety.
Jefferson Township is growing. Families are investing here. Neighbors are building their futures here.
But with growth comes responsibility.
Issue 25 is a proposed public safety levy on the May ballot designed to provide Jefferson Township with enhanced law enforcement coverage, improved emergency response, and stronger community safety resources.
WHY ISSUE 25 IS NEEDED
Residents across Jefferson Township have voiced increasing concerns about public safety. Reports of gunfire, emergency response delays, and limited patrol visibility have underscore the need for dedicated funding to support safety services.

While our township works closely with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, current funding levels limit the amount of coverage and resources available to our community.
Issue 25 would provide dedicated funding to:
-
Provide dedicated patrol presence throughout the township
-
Improve response times to emergency calls
-
Strengthen coordination between deputies and residents

What Issue 25 will Fund
If approved, funds from Issue 25 will be used exclusively for public safety purposes, to include dedicated Sheriff - currently Jefferson Township has one car (Car 23) that can be called out of the township at any time.

What This Means for Residents
A YES vote on Issue 25 means:
-
More consistent patrol visibility
-
Greater peace of mind for families
-
Stronger partnership between the township and law enforcement
Public Safety is a foundational service. It protects property, families, and quality of life.

Frequently Asked Questions

$300k home = $201/year ($16.75/mo)
-
$400k home = 268/year ($22.33/mo)
How will the funds be used?
To fund additional deputies that are dedicated to our township, improve traffic safety, and upgrade emergency response capabilities.

Why is this being placed on the ballot now?
As the township continues to grow and resident concerns about safety increases, dedicated funding is necessary to ensure consistent law enforcement presence and emergency response support.

What happens if Issue 25 doesn't pass?
Response times and patrol levels remain limited while calls continue to rise - meaning slower help in emergencies.
